She released her debut single Here in the year 2015 when she was 19. The single was praised highly equally from critics and listeners. It ranked at number 19 on both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the smash one of the best Songs in 2015. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The song was unique because lots of people reacted to her interview she conducted with the rapper Rap-Up on her journey in learning to love and be her. Cara is known for infusing songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her tracks. The music of Cara is directly from her battle with mental illness and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, the album has been described as challenging and refined. She says she grew through therapy, and urges those around her to seek assistance in times of need. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. Her parents gave her an instrument at barely 10 years old. This sparked her enthusiasm for music. She began singing covers of her favorite songs when she was thirteen to show that world that she had the skills and the courage that was required to become a performer. One of her covers Sweater Weather is the one that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record her tracks.
